HUPO Connect 2020

July 21, 2020

Dear Colleagues,

As you may know the HUPO 2020 World Congress originally scheduled to take place on October 18-22, 2020 in Stockholm, Sweden will be postponed to October 24-28, 2021. The postponement comes as a great disappointment but we are ready to embrace the challenge! We want to ensure the proteomics community stay connected with what's happening in the field and have the opportunity to communicate their research. That’s why we are pleased to announce the first-ever international HUPO virtual experience – HUPO Connect 2020!.

HUPO Connect 2020 kicks off with a series of 60 minute live webinars taking place on July 21, August 20 and September 24 in which the very best of proteomics research will be presented as a prelude to the main Congress sessions. The webinars will comprise of two 20 minute presentations with 20 minutes for your questions and interactions with the speakers and moderator/chair. Free registration for HUPO members! Watch the webinar to receive a time-limited discount code for HUPO Connect 2020 registration.

Before hitting the main event, the HUPO Pre-Congress Training takes place over 3 weeks, and is included in your main Congress registration! Lecture recordings for the 4 training topics will be released on September 28, 2020 for on-demand access. After viewing at your own time, you will be able to submit questions and discussions for the live Q&A session with the speakers from October 12-15, 2020. Training topics selected from HUPO 2019 delegate feedback include proteogenomics, PTM analysis, and bioinformatics tools for functional analyses.

We then invite you to connect with us from October 19-22, 2020 for four days of scientific sessions; the first three days include a live Opening Ceremony, mentoring sessions, poster presentations and the PhD poster competition, ECR manuscript session, industry seminars and a closing awards session; the final day is focused on the Human Proteome Project.

Registration and abstract submission is now open!
