The Protein Society of Thailand is pleased to announce the 2020 Professor M.R. Jisnuson Svasti Young Protein Scientist of Thailand Award to be given jointly to Assistant Professor Dr. Atit Silsirivanit of Khon Kaen University and Assistant Professor Dr. Danaya Pakotiprapha of Mahidol University for their outstanding research and contributions to development of protein science in Thailand.

The Young PST Award is awarded every two years to young scientists (under 40 at the beginning of the year) who have published excellent research and contributed to protein science in their institutions and in Thailand in general. Dr. Atit Silsirivanit has pioneered work on glycosylation, including O-GlcNAc modification, of proteins in cholangiocarcinoma, while Dr. Danaya Pakotiprapha has helped develop new areas of structural biology in Thailand, including studies of protein-DNA complexes. The Protein Society of Thailand is proud to be able to honor these outstanding scientists.

The awards and honorary lectures by the awardees will be presented at the 15^th International Symposium of the Protein Society of Thailand to be held the 4^th to 6^th of November at the Chulabhorn Research Institute Convention Center in Bangkok.
